MSC Cruises Unveils Expanded Luxury Retail Offering Aboard New Flagship MSC World Asia

MSC Cruises has revealed the retail line-up for its newest flagship, MSC World Asia, ahead of the ship's maiden Mediterranean season this December, with an expanded collection of luxury boutiques spanning watches, jewellery, fragrance and fashion.

What's on board

The retail offering runs across two main areas of the ship: the outdoor World Promenade and the indoor World Galleria. Shoppers will find a dedicated Rolex boutique alongside a multi-brand luxury watch outlet carrying Breitling, Cartier, Chopard, Hublot, IWC, Panerai and TAG Heuer, plus an OMEGA boutique and the TimeVallée retailer. Fine jewellery comes from Messika, Damiani and Maison Heavenly, alongside Swarovski, while fragrance counters will stock Chanel, Dior, Jo Malone London, Xerjoff and Parfums de Marly.

Two Luxury Accessories and Boutique spaces will offer personalised shopping for designer handbags and fashion accessories, and the ship will also carry an MSC Shop for branded merchandise, an Iris Galerie offering personalised artwork made from images of a guest's iris, and The Hub – Photo & Digit@l for onboard professional photography. Select boutiques will run limited-time retail events and pop-up shops featuring onboard-exclusive collections during select sailings.

A first for MSC: dedicated family retail spaces

MSC World Asia will also introduce something new for the line: dedicated retail experiences inside two family-focused venues, The Harbour and The Clubhouse. Both will host pop-up retail spaces selling MSC World Asia-themed merchandise aimed at younger guests and families, including apparel, games, tote bags and towels.

Georg Schmickler, Senior Vice President of Onboard Revenue at MSC Cruises, said the line was looking forward to creating an inspiring shopping experience at sea that would help guests find keepsakes to remember their voyage by long after they return home.

About the ship

MSC World Asia is the third vessel in MSC Cruises' World Class series, following MSC World Europa and MSC World America, and is being built at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. The ship has been designed around a strong Asian cultural theme, running through its art programme and dining concepts. It enters service on 4 December 2026, sailing seven-night Mediterranean itineraries calling at Barcelona, Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia (for Rome), Naples and Valletta.

The expanded retail concept reflects a broader shift across the cruise industry, where onboard shopping has moved well beyond traditional duty-free counters toward curated luxury boutiques, brand collaborations and destination-themed collections designed to be part of the wider guest experience rather than an afterthought.
