Roatán, in Honduras' Bay Islands, is a major Western Caribbean cruise destination served by two separate cruise complexes on the island's south coast.
The Port of Roatán at Coxen Hole places passengers directly beside the island's principal town. A 2023 bathymetric survey commissioned for the port covers the approaches to Pier 1 and Pier 2. Published local tourism information gives an approximate port depth of 12 metres, although Deck7 does not treat this as a universal permitted ship draught.
Further east at Dixon Cove is the purpose-built cruise centre historically known as Mahogany Bay. Carnival's official material describes it as a two-berth cruise terminal capable of handling up to 8,000 passengers per day. The complex includes retail, food and leisure facilities and provides access to a nearby beach area.
Passengers should always check which Roatán terminal is listed on their itinerary because Coxen Hole and Dixon Cove are separate facilities with different transport and excursion meeting arrangements.
