Shore power
MSC Cruises announced in 2024 that MSC Splendida would be retrofitted with shore-power connectivity during that year. Later MSC material explicitly states that MSC Splendida has shore-power capability, allowing the ship to switch off its engines when connected to an equipped port's electricity supply.
Identification
MSC Splendida carries IMO number 9359806. Current AIS data identifies MMSI 357698000, call sign 3FZI8 and Panama flag.
Technical dimensions
MSC's public profile rounds the ship to 333 metres long and 37 metres beam. Registry-derived and AIS sources give approximately 333.3 metres LOA and 37.9 metres beam. Deck7 retains MSC's current rounded public figures in the main profile while preserving the more precise values in the provenance notes.
