Marella Cruises is significantly broadening its non-alcoholic drinks offering, adding 18 new alcohol-free cocktails alongside a range of 0% ABV spirits, wines and beers across its fleet from August 2026.

The expansion forms part of TUI UK's cruise line's ongoing effort to widen choice for guests who prefer not to drink, whether for health, lifestyle or personal reasons. The move brings Marella into line with a broader industry shift towards more inclusive drinks menus, as cruise lines respond to growing demand for premium non-alcoholic options at sea.

What's changing on board

From August 2026, all guests sailing with Marella will have access to an expanded selection of non-alcoholic drinks as standard through the line's All Inclusive package. This includes 0% red, white, rosé and sparkling wine, Heineken 0% and Somersby 0% cider, along with the addition of gluten-free Estrella beer — a option aimed at guests with dietary requirements.

Guests who upgrade to Premium All Inclusive get a further step up: six 0% ABV spirits from the Lyre's range, including a London Dry Gin, an American Malt Bourbon, a White Cane Rum, an Agave Blanco Tequila, a Coffee Originale and an Italian Spritz.

Those spirits form the backbone of the new alcohol-free cocktail menu — 18 drinks in total, designed to mirror the sophistication of a traditional cocktail list rather than feel like an afterthought. Among the new additions are a Grapefruit Refresher (London Dry with pink grapefruit and soda), a Nojito (White Cane rum-style spirit with mint, lime and soda), a Summer Sour (London Dry with lemon, mint and basil) and a Gentle Fashioned, an alcohol-free take on the classic Old Fashioned built around the American Malt spirit with bitters and orange peel.

Why it matters

Luke Saunders, Food and Drink Development Manager at Marella Cruises, said the changes follow direct customer feedback and a review of gaps in the existing drinks menu, with the aim of giving guests who prefer not to drink alcohol a more considered onboard experience.

The timing is notable. No- and low-alcohol drinking has moved from niche to mainstream across UK hospitality in recent years, and cruise lines — traditionally built around all-inclusive alcohol packages as a key value driver — have been comparatively slow to adapt their premium tiers. By building 0% spirits into its Premium All Inclusive package rather than treating them as a bolt-on, Marella is positioning non-drinkers as a core part of its target market rather than an exception to cater for.

It's also a low-cost, high-visibility way for the brand to refresh its all-inclusive proposition ahead of peak booking season, without touching pricing or itinerary.

The rollout

The enhanced range will be available across all five ships in the Marella fleet — Marella Discovery, Marella Discovery 2, Marella Explorer, Marella Explorer 2 and Marella Voyager — from August 2026. Marella, the third-largest cruise line in the UK, has offered all-inclusive as standard with tips and service charges included for its 30 years of operation, and has picked up Good Housekeeping Reader Recommended accolades for onboard service every year since 2019.
